Not worth the $10

Echofon continues to endear itself with in-timeline notifications of retweets, new followers and favorites. However, no Retina Display support and a lack of notification center support make this an app to avoid buying if you have a Retina Macbook Pro and/or Mountain Lion. There are better alternatives on the market at the moment. Tweeting a currently playing iTunes song and tweeting a link to an open page in Safari also does not work. The UI is also tired and has not been updated to correlate with the new twitter system, in which there is the Timeline, Connect and Discover tabs, but many apps have stuck to the original design metaphors, so make of this what you will.

Ultimately, what breaks this deal for me is the lack of Retina display support. For a paid app - and $10 is quite a lot to ask for a Twitter app that brings no considerable unique features to the table - this is very disappointing.
